Pick random numbers in any range, as integers or decimals, one at a time or thousands at once, with or without repeats. Or paste a list and draw winners from it. Every draw uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator.
How the numbers are drawn
Every draw uses crypto.getRandomValues, the same cryptographically secure source browsers use for encryption keys, not the predictable Math.random. Values are picked by rejection sampling, so every number in the range is exactly as likely as every other, with no bias toward the low end.
Decimals are drawn from an even grid. With 2 decimal places between 0 and 1, each of 0.00, 0.01 … 1.00 has the same chance, and both ends are included. No repeats works like drawing numbered balls from a bag without putting them back.
Pick from a list shuffles your items with an unbiased Fisher–Yates shuffle and takes the first ones, which suits raffles, giveaways and deciding who goes first. The rolling animation is only for show. The result is fixed the moment you press the button.
Questions
Is this random number generator truly random?
It uses your operating system’s cryptographically secure generator through the browser, which is seeded from hardware events and is unpredictable in practice. It is suitable for games, raffles, sampling and classroom use. For regulated lotteries or gambling, use a certified draw system.
Are the minimum and maximum included?
Yes. A range of 1–10 can return both 1 and 10, and a 0–1 decimal range with 2 places can return 0.00 and 1.00.
How do I pick lottery numbers?
Use the “Lottery 6/49” preset, or set the range to your game (for example 1–69), set how many to draw, and tick “No repeats” and Low → high. Every combination is equally likely. No generator can raise your odds of winning.
How do I pick a random winner from a list of names?
Switch to “Pick from a list”, paste one name per line and press Pick. Leave “Ignore duplicate lines” ticked so a name entered twice doesn’t get two chances, or untick it if extra entries are allowed. “Remove picked from list” helps when drawing several rounds.
Is anything saved?
Your settings, the list you pasted and your recent draws are kept in this browser’s local storage so they survive a refresh. Nothing is sent to a server. Use Clear to erase the history.
