Max drawdown measures the largest peak-to-trough decline in a portfolio's value - enter any two of Peak, Trough, or Drawdown% and the third is solved. Portfolio depletion uses a real-return annuity model: enter any two of Portfolio, Annual Withdrawal, and Years to solve for the third. The widely-cited 4% rule suggests withdrawing no more than 4% annually for a sustainable 30-year retirement.
